The Specialized Printing Training Workshop, held on February 20, 2025, at the Faculty of Textile Engineering, Amirkabir University of Technology, was designed to enhance the knowledge and technical skills of professionals and specialists in the textile printing industry and was well received by this audience.
Organized in collaboration with the Department of Education, Research, and Technology Exchange of the Iran Textile Exports and Manufactures Association (ITEMA) and Amirkabir University of Technology, the workshop provided comprehensive and practical content that played a significant role in updating participants’ knowledge and empowering them professionally.
The workshop curriculum was carefully designed to cover all key and practical aspects of textile printing. Topics included training on rotary disperse and reactive printing—among the most widely used methods—an introduction to burn-out and discharge processes as well as other modern techniques, training in digital disperse and reactive printing, which was particularly well received due to its growing importance, hybrid printing (rotary and digital), and an overview of pigment printing.
One of the key strengths of the workshop was the opportunity for discussion and exchange of experiences with fellow professionals and the instructor, Mr. Ferhat Korkmaz, which greatly contributed to the overall effectiveness of the course.
This specialized workshop served as an effective step toward strengthening the synergy between industry and academia. It successfully addressed the educational needs of textile printing professionals and played a significant role in improving their technical knowledge and specialized skills.
It is worth noting that holding such courses can play a crucial role in increasing the global competitiveness of domestic products and enhancing the overall quality of national production.
